Agave Partners Consulting was formed in July 2006 as an activity of the newly incorporated Global Design Group. Located in the Raleigh area of North Carolina, Agave Partners is focused on providing high quality and cost effective service and support to the many small business professionals who have limited options when dealing with their computer and technology issues.

Mission
As with many conveniences, computers have been hailed as great labor saving devices. Yet all too often they become the bane of our existence. They don’t quite work the way we want them to; they inexplicably fail when we are in a hurry; and the now feature rich applications often require training to complete even simple tasks.
Our mission is to provide personalized, cost effective solutions, support and training to professionals working in Small Offices and Home Offices. Our goal is to fully address your technical needs to allow you to focus on your specific business.
Experience and Philosophy
Our experience is with computer and networking technologies and the issues people have with employing them effectively.
From a security perspective, we are all too aware of the internet based threats, and the growing costs of defending against them, that bombard our computers on a daily basis. As business professionals you are further faced with the need to protect your personal information as well as the personal information and privacy of your clients and customers. With the growing use of the connectedness of the internet, this extends to also maintaining confidentiality in our electronic communications.
But security does not end with protection against viruses and internet hackers. While many professionals are not in the technology business, the technology you use is vital to your business welfare. Security also includes protection against (or at least preparation for) the inevitable hardware failure or disk crash. Joe Vohwinkel is the President and Principal Consultant of Agave Partners. Joe has held both management and technical positions in leading edge technology development organizations. He has over 20 years experience working across a wide variety of software & hardware technologies and product domains.
With over 6 years focused on network security systems, Joe has solid experience with the impact of security on day-to-day business functions. He applies this background to all of his services:
